Hersh Singer of SMS Research will present their findings about the economic conditions, demographics and development opportunities in West Oahu; a research project funded by a WOEDA grant from the City & County of Honolulu.
Jon Wallenstrom and Race Randle of Forest City will talk about their newly developed solar farm in West Oahu, The Kapolei Sustainable Energy Park, which was completed in December 2011. The 12-acre property houses more than 4,200 solar panels, is Oahu’s largest utility-scale solar photovoltaic project to date, and is generating 1.18 megawatts of clean, renewable energy from the sun.
Raymond Kanna, Executive Vice President for Haseko, will be presenting the refined vision for Hoakalei Resort, which includes transforming the previously planned marina into a unique oceanfront lagoon that provides expanded amenities and recreational opportunities that will appeal to a much larger portion of the population.
